Pastor Brent graduated from Madison Baptist Theological Seminary and while he was attending Seminary he also served as Youth Pastor along side his Mentor Bro Freed Ware. It was also during this time that he met his wife Mrs Bethany and they were wed. Not long after graduating they began serving with Bro Brent as Pastor in Carbon Hill AL. Sometime after ending his pastorate in Carbon Hill the Winters began to feel the Lord calling them to Plant a Church in Montevideo MN while Bro Brent was on a missions trip helping prepare buildings for Church Planters. It was in August of 2019 that Montevideo Baptist Church that would later become Liberty Baptist Church was started.

  Since starting the church in MN the Lord has added to their family and they have seen the work get more established. In mid-December of 2024 Pastor Brent announced to the church that he had accepted a Pastorate position at Elbow Lake Baptist Church in Elbow Lake MN.  For the unforeseeable future Pastor Brent will be doing a dual pastorate between the churches while also continuing to pursue other church planting opportunities.
